I have a 2011 335d and broke the tabs on one of my headlights, my question is will the pre LCI xenon adaptive headlights work in place of the headlight assembly I have now? The only reason is ask is because of the significant price difference between the two. If the question has been answered already please point me in the right direction.

Edit: Sounds like they’ll work. Thanks lowrydr310 for correcting me. I could have sworn they were not physically interchangeable so good to know!
How many tabs are broken? BMW sells repair kits for the tabs. They’re about $47 per tab, but considerably cheaper than replacing your headlight.

Physically they will fit just fine, the dimensions and mounting tabs of pre-LCI and LCI headlights are identical. To get them working without bulb errors and to get the turn signals and side markers working, FRM coding would be necessary.
Repairing the broken tabs on your LCI lights would be the better and easier option. |
