Electric Mirrors
Guys
I need some help. I purchased a e90 touring M sport Edition in July. I opted for the electric mirrors package. A friend of mine has a standard M Sport Touring with electric mirrors and is able to close them from his key, by pressing and holding the lock function on the key. The mirrors then move inward. I have checked the various setting features on I-Drive and I cant make my close from the key Anybody know how to set up this function?? |

As far as I know on early cars you could fold the mirrors with the key and / or set them to fold every time you switched off the ignition. It ended up causing lots of motor failures with the continual folding and unfolding every time you switched the ignition on or off. BMW reasoned that most of the time you don't actually need to fold them so removed that feature and left it for you to make a conscious decision to fold them by pressing the button on the mirrror control.
