Are the E90 and E46 headrest dimensions different??

Hey everybody,

New to the board.

Just wondering if anyone could tell me if the e90 and e46 headrest dimensions are different?

Reason why I ask is because I have headrest monitors and want to know if they are transferrable.

While were at it....are the wheel offsets the same as well?

Your offset question has already been answered multiple times. Please check the wheel/tire section of the forum.

I don't know the answer to your headrest question. Take a tape measure to the dealer?

Welcome to E90Post. Take a look around and make use of the wealth of E90 information we have all posted here.

Welcome to the forum. These two threads should hopefully answer your wheel offset question:

I dunno if anybody will know the answer to your headrest size question, but if you ask I'm sure an E90 owner will gladly run out to their garage and measure the headrests real fast for you (anybody willing to help out?). Then you'll have a measurement to measure against your E46 headrests.

If you have any other question feel free to ask/around around. Super helpful members around these parts.

Thanks!!

All I need is the measurement from bar to bar on the headrest. I would be sooooo grateful if someone could measure it for me.

I'm not sure on the meaurements...but the style of the headrests are different. On my sport pack seats, it's not as thick at the e46 and has little wings on the side.

I wanted the measurements of the bars so I can put my headrests with screens in them. I'm not really concerned with the shape of the headrest. Thanks though!!

Still looking for someone to measure the bars!

Hi EP10! Welcome to the forum! The answer to your question about the headrests is: 7" lcd screens should fit. The head rests are kind of in the shape of a trapezoid. The top is 7" wide, the bottom is 8" wide, and from top to bottom (height) is 7". Hope this helps! Oh, and this is on the standard seats...I didn't get the sport package, so I don't know if the sport seats are different.

Ohhh...I should have read the whole post. Your question about the bars...they are almost exactly 6" apart. What I mean is, there is a total of 6" from the left end of the left bar to the right end of the right bar. The bars are less than 1/2 in thickness, so I'd say there's about 5" between each bar.

I decided to sell them instead!

According to the measurements stated above they do fit.

Monitor that's installed into the back of the front seat headrests. Faces backwards towards the passenger seats. Lots of show cars have them.
