Brands Hatch Track Day - November 25th

Hi chaps

Ive just booked my place on BMW Car magazines Winter Track Day at Brands Hatch on Tuesday 25th November 2008. It costs £139 and is operating an open pit lane. You get a free CD of pics from the day and BMW Car goodie bag!!

I appreciate it is a school day - but im sure you can fake your mums handwriting and write a moody sick note!!!??

It will be my first track day in the CSL - cant wait!!!!!!

Let me know if any members are thinking of going?? BUT - book as soon as possible as these track days get booked up VERY quickly.

Steve

Hey buddy, long time no speak. Try and get yourself booked into Brands - it is supposed to be a fantastic day - my mate did it last year in his E46 M3 and said it was brilliant - and he does a lot of track days - be good to see the red devil there!! By the way, my very own RED Sparco gloves arrived a few days ago!!! Not sure if im going to go the whole hog and get the red booties and jump suit yet though!!!??
Oh and we need to talk - i found out yesterday why you sent me a message whilst i was in Florida saying "I knew it LOL" - it baffled me for ages and then i was told something yesterday that made it all clear - its a long story so i will PM you as im working later and all this week and wont have time to call. Get Brands sorted though!!

Chaps...

I booked myself to go on this last month... really looking forward to getting the M3 on-track. Have done Brands a few times on a bike and once in a car, so as long as the weather (DOH, I said the W word!) plays ball we should be ok.

Open pitlane will mean we'll get plenty of time on track, with no pressure to go out at fixed times like sessioned trackdays tend to be... so if there are a few loons about, won't miss track time by comming off to let them get out the way.

Anyone know if there are any other E9x M3 going ?

Look forward to catching up with a few of you

B

Biscuits, you will love the E92 M3 on track - mine was superb at Snetterton and the Nurburgring. Its a different car when on the limit and consistently in the high rev range.

Keep a look out for our Pipe & Slipper Meets and M3 meets where we have a number of E92 M3's attend for a local drive in the Kent/Surrey area

Im sure i text that before you went florida, regarding you changing your mind about keeping the 335, and getting the CSL finally.
We need to meet up one evening, and go a drive, you only live a few miles from me. So when your free give me a ring.

2 track days in 1 month is a killer mate. I would prefer to book up after the 6th when ive done my track day at brands. The indy circuit sucks though. I have been playing it on my computer, learning the track, and its very short. The full circuit is awesome though.
What tyres are you going to be driving on?

Hey Hoops

Nice CSL you bought. Just booked the previous owner, John's car for a remap on his new car. He spent ages looking for the right CSL. He had a beautiful E30 M3 Evo before that. Its a small world

Baris - will try and give you a call on thursday - its my first day off from shooting and should have some time to chat. The CSL is going into MStyle that day to have its first "minor" cosmetic mods completed!! The Indy circuit is short and sweet but its easy to learn and still gives you a nice taster for track driving. Besides, i want to ease my baby in nice and gently!!! Speak Thursday!!
Creepy - its the Indy circuit matey.
Biscuits - i dont know you buddy but obviously i will be there at Brands, my name is Steve and i will be in a SG E46 M3 CSL - plate is S77 CSL - come over and say hello on the day.
Imran - yes, John mentioned he knew you guys (said what bloody cowboys you all were!!! Only joking!!) - he was a great guy and the CSL is mint, low milage and goes like stink - very happy. I need to speak to you guys soon anyway as im wanting the BEST Stevie Hooper cash price for a Supersprint Race silencer. I intend to put a full SS system on bit by bit - but want to start with the lightweight race silencer, then the 100 cell cats etc etc. So let me know your bestest price - would rather put money in your pockets but want the cheapest price from whoever can deliver.

Should be a good turn out - there are a few other CSL owners coming from CSLregister - and some nice E90's by the looks of it - just hope the weather is kind to us - my car is a handful in the bone dry let alone the bloody wet!!!!!

Yeah, should be a good turn out and hopefully all with sensible heads on... nice ting with open pitlane is if there are any nutters you can come in for 30 seconds and let them get out the way.

I'd hoped to have a performance steering wheel fitted by then, but not looking possible. (blown my cash on a detail and audio upgrade)

Can't wait
