Hi-Gloss Black front grill?
Hi,
I've seen the odd few pictures on here of a high-gloss black front grill on the E90 - does anyone know where I can get one from? The only ones I've seen for sale are matt black! cheers Dan

Hi Guys,
I ordered my High Gloss Black grills from Adamaster, you can also buy them from Cyba, you'll find both on here if you do a search. Make sure you specify that you want the grill and slats painting ortherwise you will just get the outer section of the grill in high gloss black only. Jules. |

great cheers!
Quick question - do I want the slats painting as well? Does that look better? What about the bottom grills where the fog lights are, will it make them look a bit odd!? Who thought a grill would be so complex! lol

i just scooped up an extra OEM set of kidneys, and just brought it to my local body shop and had them paint it. Im sure you can also use the DIY, except use a glossy paint.

I also think the gloss looks a lot better I got mine about a year ago.
Check with whoever you get them from to make sure they prepped the grills before painting. The first bunch from a different source about a year ago were just painted over lightly sanded chrome. Paint does not stick well to chrome so they flaked after some use. I painted the lower grill myself using some primer and then several coats of spray paint. They have held up rather well and can be touched up easily with a cotton swab, piece of sponge or small brush.

Are these made of plastic or chrome ones which have been painted/sprayed? Would also like to know about the finish/quality. Thanks - Aky |
