Trouble with production # on BMWUSA

I received my production number on Saturday 10/18/08 and Ive tried to sign up on bmwusa website so I can track the car but it keeps telling me that the production number might not be entered into the system. Does anyone know how long this normally takes? I contacted my CA and he said the website must be down.

Usually, they late by 2 weeks. You can call 800 number and check.
Make sure you check - my 330 was showing as 325 on BMW web site.

Agree, I remember it took awhile before the website recognized my prod. #. Call 1-800-831-1117, and enter your production number there. Its' quicker, more up to date, and more detailed.

Call your ca ask for the VIN # instead. My prod # had not worked for weeks so i got the VIN # and it worked great on the first try.
