BM3 Stage 2+ Data Log help

Just did a data log on BM3. Had some rough start ups after tuning, added ngk plugs, made it a bit better but not perfect. Worried about my timing being slightly off. Do I need new plugs and coils? Inserted is a picture of the log. Don't know how to add csvs without google drive. Further, my car is spitting flames on Stage 2+ with max aggressiveness burble. Can this damage my turbo? Thanks

too high setting on burbled would likley damage your catalytic converter way before your turbo. as for timing, usually fuel related, what tune amd what gas are you using?

You need to post the link to the actual BM3 datalog or upload it to datazap and post the link to that. You don't upload the CSV or a screenshot, those aren't helpful.

You can also read my thread on datalogging here: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1732327

As to the burbles, the potential for excessive wear and tear on any component increases as you increase the aggressiveness. Excessive burbles are dumb IMO, but your preference may be different.

bm3 stage 2+ is for e30 and an aftermarket hpfp

pretty sure you're using the stage 2 93 tune...

I believe you mean "stage 2 AGG 93 oct"? We have decent gas in Mi, but I switched to stage 2 91 oct, and use 93 oct fuel to gas up. That really helps bm3 timing, because of how aggressive their timing is. I can't tell a difference hp wise. Butt dyno doesn't feel it. It's the same amount of fun. I think if you switch to stage 2 91 oct, with less aggressive bubbles, you will have a better running car.

Also if it starts rough and smooths out, yes I believe it could be plugs, coils, or even an injector. The timing in your log isn't the worst I've ever seen, but it could be better, by using better gas than the tune calls for.

Yeah my bad, stage 2 93 octane AGG. I changed the plugs to ngk gapped to .022 and the start up got better. Ill kick it down to 91 octane and see if it goes away. If not, I will try coils next and pray it isnt injectors

Are you running an intake? MAF readings look low, but then again this is 3rd gear and you didnt rev all the way out.

The log looks generally OK, timing corrections as mentioned above but good boost control it seems.

I would also suggest going down to 91 octane map, turning off or down burbles, driving a bit, and relogging. Do 4th gear if you are 8AT, 2500-6500

I'm on stock box with K&N. What role does MAF play in performance? I'm sorry im relatively new to this. Proud of no boost leaks though! I installed everything myself, first time turning a wrench on my car haha. When I get time this week I will log 4th gear multiple times. I also had DSC on during this run

Is it a oiled K&N or dry? You need to be careful with the oiled ones, they can mess with the MAF. You might be fine though, just get some more logs all the way to 6500 in 4th. Put some miles on the car after changing tune and before logging. And yes, log with DSC fully off (long press on button), although you shouldnt be spinning 4th gear.

MAF is the mass airflow sensor. The DME uses it to measure how much air is coming into the engine so it knows how much fuel to inject. Then fuel trims are used to correct fueling based on O2 sensors using closed loop feedback.

Recommend reading my datalogging thread i linked above.
