Trunk hits M sport rear bumper retrofit

Hi all,

I got the m sport retrofit done a few months ago. I just recently noticed a line that has appeared on my rear bumper. Turns out its from the trunk lip hitting the top of the rear bumper? I am not sure as the bumper sits flush with all the lines of the car. I am not sure why the trunk is hitting it. Anyone got any ideas?

Unfortunately I had the same problem after taking one from behind at 30mph

Mine was a F30 330e M Sport in MSB, and one would hope that the repair cowboys actually fitted OEM parts, but that's anyone guess.

I found that the metal under the boot seal was holding the bumper up slightly which allowed the boot lid to strike it.

Fortunately mine was a company lease so a bit of cover up work with a Sharpie and some T-cut made it invisible for handing back
