I think we need a bit more action in this subforum. So here is my contribution
Car: - Sophisto grey iX3 with all options. Mods: - 20" JR37 9x20 ET20 & 10.5x20 ET37 - PPF wrap on entire front, a-pilars, mirrors, roof and rear bumper. - Ceramic coating. - Gloss black chrome delete on lower front and sides. - X3MC side vents (aftermarket). - Gloss black trunk badge. In progress: - Light tint to front windows.

Wow looks super nice, what's the total "damage" for all the mods?
I think the side "vents" exchange has the largest impact (IMHO), as that silver triangle just isn't hot by any means. The rest is more subjective I believe. That said, the final result looks really cool! |

The PPF and wrap was 2200€ and the side vents 35€ from Amazon.

Nice ... !!! And good to see the X3M side vents fit the iX3 ... seeing your pictures this is a must have for me as well ;-)
Still doubting wether I will have the car wrapped or just coated ... the detailer who did my F10 assures me that they can do a coating that lasts for more than 5 years. |

Any plans on installing a ‘normal’ black grill and/or other rims ? Although my dealer also said that other rims are currently being rejected by BMW due to the higher weight, but that new rim styles are probably coming in 2022 for the electric vehicles (i4 , iX)

Coating is nice but it should not be compared to a good PPF. I went with Hexis Bodyfence X that has a lifetime warranty (for the first owner) that covers all problems with the film. It also has a self-healing effect when you apply heat to it so scratches and minor "dents" disappear. Cost more than coating but will in the end return some money when you sell the car in mint condition

Looking at aftermarket wheels right now and thinking about new 20" rims to just switch over the tyres and tpms to. We'll see what happens

Thx! I encourage every iX3 owner to change the vents as a first mod

Nice moods.
I've ordered a fully in Carbon black. My first mood will be to take advantage of the space up front, to make a frunk.

I have a hard time believing BMW “just ignored” this space. It is also not very practical for frequent use, like storing charge cables etc. But still very much interested to hear options for use of this. |

Nice project Jim!
I ordered the ix3 a few weeks ago and have to wait until August. Same color as your ix3, looks good! I also want to replace the rims with other rims, I have already seen pictures of other ix3 riders with different rims. Dealers do not give an official guarantee on it so far. My dealer will soon be installing 20 inch M style rims at another customer, he will keep me informed about this with pictures or if i want i can come visit and take a better look. I am not much of a fan of chrome and your adjustments are very nice. I'm going to keep an eye on this topic. Have you also thought about blackening the gray "diffusers" on the back? |
