I run 17inch Apex wheels and I have a 18 inch set waiting for me. Have any of you bent 17x9 apex wheels yet? I have 40 sidewall tho but I do hit bumps hard and do jumps over railroad tracks sometimes on the streets. I wonder if the 18in apex wheels will bend with the same abuse. Both are Arc8s. Wondering if any of you guys bent arc 8s before

I’ve been running 18” Arc8’s for a few years. I’ve taken some pretty decent hits/potholes and never bent one. They seem as stout as any wheel I’ve run so I wouldn’t be particularly concerned about bending them.
Apex also has a program where they will let you buy a replacement for a bent rim at a substantial discount, so if by chance you bend one it will be cheaper to replace. Unless you want to destroy your car I would stop doing jumps btw. That’s just a bad idea unless you enjoy buying parts.

Geezus, from someone who slows way the fu@{ down for a railroad crossing...why would you do that? And wheels bending wouldn't be the top of my worry list if I did choose to do it. Suspension and steering components, under carriage...you're destroying the car.

think of it like this, when you run out the suspension travel and get to the bumpstops, you're effectively going to an infinite rate spring. All of the remaining force gets applied to the hub and arms. it's your shit, treat it how you want, but jumping the chassis is not great for it. |

Miami vice has NOTHING on Fast and Furious franchise!! You ever see the stuff they do to their cars in those movies? That's the stuff you need to try in your E90. Jump some canyons. get dropped out of the sky with a parachute on your car. I'm 99% certain the E90 can handle all of it!!!
