Kick-to-open trunk?

It appears that the kick-to-open trunk access doesn't work on the G80. When I called the BMW Genius number, I was told, after being on hold while he checked, that the M3 had Comfort Access Version 1 (no kick-to-open) while my previous car (F30) had Version 2. Can anyone with another car confirm?

This is correct, no kick open on the G80. One thing I do miss from my F80. My wife's X3M has kick-open and kick close

Might be a USA market restriction? Not sure why that would be

According to the UK BMW configurator, the kick open should be there (it's part of Comfort Access):

It isn't on the US models (be surprised if it was on others) - the exhaust system is in the way.

Fully open and close the trunk with the touch of an interior button in the trunk lid or on the keyfob.

Wouldn't that be true for the F80 too? I was thinking it was in the way if you got the M Performance exhaust since that's more center than the stock exhaust.

Any of you old farts remember way back when, when we had to dig the correct key out of our pants, insert it into the hole and turn it? I don't know how we survived.

I remember when here was a different key for the ignition and door locks and then a different key for the trunk.

Your cars had locks? I just assumed every car was an open topped convertible teens would jump into before yelling "Grease Lightning!"

I use the 'credit card' Digital Key to unlock the car, my phone to start it, and the key fob to open the trunk. Three different keys. Times haven't changed much at all.

Oh man, I forgot all about that...one key would have a round handle and the other squared.

there isn't at all, also in EU models.

Comfort access gives you only the "comfort" to open and close the door keyless.

There was this canadian reviewer faking the trunk opening with the foot...

Call me a newbie or oblivious, but I just found out I can both open AND close the power trunk in the g80 by pulling/pushing the trunk button located on the driver door

And the small key for the glove box that you always seem to lose.
