I just installed the AS3+ and it is a great tire for all-seasons, performs pretty well as a summer tire too. Only thing is you will lose steering feedback and weight, mostly due to the sifter side walls.

I got the AS3+ as well and I love it. Better than the P7 Cinturato the car came with. I recommend that or the AS4 if you want all seasons.
And I stuck to the original size since I didn't want my speedometer to read wrong. The next size recommended to keep the speedometer reading the same wouldn't fit on my 18" rims apparently. So I left it at that.

Exactly what you felt! I got the AS3+s on and was caught off guard. Mainly because I read many posts where people were raving about them and about how good they are. Almost nobody mentioned the reduced steering feel. But I'll share the blame too because I probably haven't mentioned it either until now.
Overall, the tyres are great compared to the OEM RFTs. Plus, my main concern was grip. The RFTs had ZERO grip. Hell. I was sliding the rear out easily in my stock 330i even with traction control fully on. With the AS3+ and a slightly tuned 330i and traction control in the dynamic setting, it isn't as easy to slide the rear out, thanks to the grip on these tyres. There was slightly reduced feedback from the steering but I've gotten used to it now.

I have the G-MAX RS on both my BMW and my Audi. These are absolutely awesome tires and you can't beat the price!

Current price for a Cinturato P7 is $212 on Tire Rack, ~$230 after tax. I decided to try something cheap (but reputable) since I barely put any miles on. I got Toyo Extensa HP IIs for $116.99 or ~$127 after tax... Set of 4 installed for $563.49 after 5% back from Amazon. Wouldn't even get me 3 of those stupid run-flats. The Toyos are much quieter and ride much better. Still need to be broken in, but safe to assume they handle better too. Very satisfied, especially considering the price. That said, I do have 3 Cinturato P7s sitting around now, with plenty of tread... Anyone looking for a spare or need to swap an axle? I'll make a proper post in classifieds later. For now, the specs are 225/45R18 95H, probably 8-8.5/32nds.

Yup. Toyos are good tyres. I'm actually kinda surprised they aren't too popular here? Or are they? Toyos and yokohamas were the go to tyres in the middle east.

I have the stock PSS4 that came with it in the staggered 225/255 setup.
I love these tires, they are amazing.

I am a bit confused.
I bought my car with 225/45R18 Pirelli Cinturato P7 I get no results when I search for 225/45R18 Michelin A/S3+ What gives? Do I need to go with a different size? |

You may need to go Pilot Sport All Season 4 now. They are phasing the A/S 3 out as the AS4 is their "latest and greatest"

I've heard good feedback about the below -
BFGOODRICH G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S PLUS I've had the A/S 3+ on a prior car (G37x) and definitely noticed a difference in steering feel, but grip was much better to so it's a tradeoff. Personally, I prefer the more direct steering feel; going to try Michelin Summer's on mine (came with Bridgestone Touring(?!)) |
