last year there were some nice overtakes and battles.. and interestingly this track allows a lot of overtakes from outside which is cool..

This is SUCH a great track. It's a good mix of high speed and low speed corners. There are at least a few passing opportunities, and the elevation changes and blind corners are different from everything else on the calendar. I hope this one ends up staying on the calendar going forward because I would love to cross the pond next year to go.

actually i support Leclerc thus Ferrari as well.. im not a fan of Ferrari culture but i love their cars.. behind closed doors still tons of soap opera things goes on in Maranello.. had a chance to know Ferrari better 5-6 years ago and they love soap opera..

Alpines look pretty fast.. Alonso's time s been deleted 2 times otherwise he d be in 4th or 5th.. but weirdly comparing last year's FP3.. cars are 2 secs slower at the moment..

Understand, I'm an oddity! Ferrari has been my team since the mid 80's. I'm usually a team first kinda guy. So, my favorite driver usually comes from my team. I get crushed for my opinions on HAM. However, if he wore red he would be my 2nd favorite driver behind KIMI of course

it was hard to watch Ric knocked out that early...

not much speed difference over one lap between Merc' and Red Bull.. though with medium tires race pace looks like on Merc's more likely..

Alpines pace more likely Alonso's was gone in quali who knows why but at the end of the session from flags wind was clearly in high tone..

I don't think so mate . The W12 looks way faster than in Bahrain and Imola .

The Mercedes found not only more power , they found also more grip and balance ..

Let me help you mate with some facts !
• 1- The Algarve circuit is very slippery by the new asphalt layer .
• 2- The Mercs struggled with balance and grip in Bahrain and Imola.
• 3- Today in Portugal ,Mercedes showed extreme grip and power .

In Bahrain and Imola the RB16B showed more grip , balance and power .
Today we saw it otherwise ...

And I can tell you mate : "My eyes never lied to me" !

What If a critical Mercedes situation can arise ?

What If BOT takes the lead from the start (P1) ?

BOT actually isn't allowed to win the race , and he already knows it . Because HAM needs the 25 points from P1 to hold MAX off in the ranking !
While BOT needs the driver points badly on P5 with only 16 points in the ranking !

If you ask me : This can be really interesting ....
