Throttle 'blip' and engine chokes off (fuel?)
'06 330i with the N52 and what appears to be a fueling issue.
The engine will idle great...and even drive fine...but only when the accelerator is 'gently' applied...any sudden 'blip' downward of the accelerator peddle and the engine chokes off, RPMs drop to nothing, an abrupt shutdown of the engine, then the car won't start (cranks forever, just no ignition). A while later, the car will start. I have: 1. replaced both right/left fuel pump and sending units 2. replaced the fuel control unit (under wing of seat) 3. No CODES are showing (I have Schwaben diagnostic 510 unit) 4. I can activate the 60 and 120 liters fuel pump What can cause the car to choke off and shut down when the throttle is suddenly 'blipped' beyond a gentle press? (bear in mind, the gentle press keeps the car working just fine, up to any RPM both in neutral and while driving). Essentially, I can baby the car and it works...any sudden press of the accelerator, and it dies. No codes. |
