Tips on commuting but safelyyet swiftly
I have a Dashcam and also know how to handle the e90 quite well at speed. The thing is in LA cars are going 75mph plus side by side while we all change lanes. I do drive in the fastlane to try and cut everyone to get to a open area. The thing is how do i profile cars and make sure know one comes infront of me and does something stupid nearby me when im driving. I have Yellow fog lights also that I turn on when its not sunny and aT NIGHT! Has anyone ever commuted 60 miles round trip in dashing speed or do you guys relax in slow lane and chill?

Honestly there are too many Idiots on the road. Occasionally I'll use the 335i's power to pass slow moving traffic on the left lane… In general I try to adopt a Zen like state. If you have xenons try coding in AHL2 - makes the xenons adjust higher up at freeway speeds so you can see farther. Fogs don't help with long distance light, btw. By definition they're aimed at the ground. |

I'm now convinced you're just here to troll. Is it during this commute where you like to jump your e90 and get it airborne?

It's the passing lane not the fast lane. LA is a complete free for all so I guess it doesn't matter. Go on YouTube and watch dash cam accidents. I'm addicted to watching them. Megadrivingschool is my favorite channel. It'll help with anticipating morons.
I personally just go 70mph in the second right most lane nowadays. If I'm ever in the passing lane I literally let everyone that looks at my rear bumper pass. |

If you value your life and car, you will stop driving offensively and start driving defensively. It’s not about who gets there first, it’s about getting there safely and in a timely manner. Otherwise, we’d outfit our cars like Mad Max and not have tags. That said, I live in Nashville where they drive like it’s a NASCAR race. I imagine most people make it through their commute by saying to their passenger, here hold my beer…

As much as OP is largely full of it he does have a point, LA traffic is goddamn ridiculous. I've been cruising at 85-90 and some old lady in a first gen CRV flew past while absolutely glaring at me like I'm some asshole for driving so slowly and being in her way (wasn't even in the left lane).
In terms of teaching you how to drive I have no particular input but watching dashcam videos is a good idea. I don't use one because in the case of an accident the other party could subpoena all the footage you have and that could go many ways.
