I feel like it would have been cheaper to get a Supra and then dump a few upgrades but very excited to see how this goes if you ever find more info on it!

That's wild! I guess that's one way to keep the single turbo sound and getting S55 power levels - from what I've seen the B58 is a beast with a ton of tuning potential.
I wonder how much of the electronics he had to switch out along with the engine? I imagine he'd have to be using a standalone or a B58 ECU, but would that play nice with the dash, etc.? |

It was a post on the M2 page on Facebook. The guy's N55 let go on track, so decided to swap a B58 into it. Car is a manual, would have been even better to have a B58 DCT!

UK Car.
From the posts iv seen on forums, the N55 blew up on track. This guy owns a garage that do a lot of engine conversions mostly for drift cars, putting 2JZ / RB's etc in anything, so this is right up their street. the Shops IG is MNM_Performance_garage |

Overall i'd say the b58 is capable of a lot more power than the s55, and as others have said its a single turbo motor . b58 hype is snowballing into a full fledge'd legend |

Heh, i'm assuming they immediately tuned it, but for a brief second this was probably an engine swap car with the new engine making less power than the original one. If it's an M/T car i'm sure they got it out of a M240i and not a Supra or a G-series or something.

I think better off just upgrading to M2 Comp but still cool to see.

I think on a highly tuned engine you'd want to upgrade it just the same to be on the safe side

A B58 with a DCT is what I always wanted the M2 to be. Such a better motor than the N55. I wonder how difficult the swap is, considered it when I had mine.

I drove the m240i over and over before buying my OG M2 I simply had to buy the M2 because of the sum of the parts, but the B58 is clearly a better engine
