iX3 LCI, already??

I realise the iX3 is based on the X3 which has been around since 2018, but surprised to see the iX3 is already getting an LCI (considering it doesn't launch in the UK for 2 more months!).

I wonder when this LCI is due, and for how many months the pre-LCI will be sold in the UK?

According to this post:https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=901686

the iX3 LCI starts production in september this year, with first deliveries in april 2022.

I am a bit 'miffed' by this, as they say, because a month ago I asked my dealer if it made sense to wait for the LCI and they said that there wasn't any info available regarding the LCI so it would be at least 2 years before it would happen.

My iX3 gets delivered in August ...

That's very annoying! I don't get my car until November/December, so I will potentially have it 4 months before it receives an LCI! But I can't wait until April...

We ordered our IX3 6 weeks ago and just found out about the LCI model. We are waiting to hear back from the dealer on what they are going to do for us. In addition the Harman Kardon stereo we ordered is no longer available so awaiting to see what they are willing to compensate. I’d say it was a bit of a sh1t show so far from BMW. Ive gone from excited to anxious about the new car!

I confirmed with my dealer that the "Harman Kardon Surround Sound" is still included on my iX3 order.

The exact sentence from the email is:
Harmon Kardon is restricted on certain models but the ix3 is not affected.

Same for me. You hear stories about you need to drop HK Sound, HUD or Adaptive LED, but nothing up till now for me. Production is scheduled for week 32 (early Aug) so fingers crossed.

The fact that the parent company of BMW Brilliance (which manufactures the IX3) has started bankrupcy proceedings will not help with our anxiety.

Talked to my SA yesterday, since my Carbonblack fully came into my local dealer. He said there would be a LCI iX3, but didn't know when. It was du later, and because of the kong journey from China, he didn't think it would be here for a year, but the LCI did not have more range and had the same power figures so let's see.

Regarding the LCI iX3 they are not coming until the middle of next year and so far all orders been filled are for the current model. The dealer said when i asked. Also there is reason to believe that with the LCI version expect to pay a higher price and where as the current version is fully loaded with options the LCI may not be as well kitted out meaning paying for extras.
