Custom-tuned g20 complete power loss when rpm too high

Hi, I’m having a custom tune by Cary Jordan on bootmod3. Recently, I’ve been faced with a serious problem that once I step on my accelerator pedal too quickly and rpm revs up to 5k rpm, the car would be placed into a complete power loss mode. It could barely move. I could only pull over and restart it again then it’s all ok again.

This problem came not very often but very annoying to me. It has no DTC codes. I’ve replaced my plugs and oil already.

I happened to have the whole process logged. You could see from the latter part that the car could barely move.

Update:

I finally made it to detect two shadow codes using another BMW specific code reader.
1) 10D000 Combustion engine: torque limitation active
2) 24000B Timeout data EWS

Seems like there's a torque limitation that lets my car shut off the power.

Is it a completed map? Problems do come along but can always be fixed by the tuner.

Yes, it was actually recently completed. I'm now trying to have Cary get this fixed but he has not seemed to find a solution so I thought it would be good for me to ask here.

You will probably be resolved soon by Cary. Problems have came up and he is very knowledgeable in tuning anything BMW. He will prob have you set after a couple more revisions. As far as I can see I feel like the AFR, boost pressure, timing, and the throttle angle are off. However I am not a tuner it's just what I am assuming are the problem.

sddz6269 Was this ever resolved? I have the same issue with my car after a custom tune! Was yours resolved by your tuner Cary or something else?

Cheers

I’m currently big turbo setup (IPOS IM450) with Navardi tuning the car

Same problem, boost cut WOT low gear, would be making like 10psi when target is 21.5psi. Traction stutters past 5000rpm, problem persisted for a few revisions but lately it’s been basically fixed

Get Cary to put a TCU limiter delete on it and see if that helps. Traction apparently is a huge problem on this platform.. Just give the tuner time and everything to revise, will be better

Goodluck!
