Does my car have front PDC and LED Headlights?
Hey everyone! I'm new here and just bought my 1st BMW( 2018 F33 430i). The car is a project car missing the front end due to a collision. Now because I bought the car with no front end, I don't know what bumper options and headlights it came with.
I have done the VIN decoder, but it doesn't specifically say LED for headlights(does say LED fog lights). I have park sensors in my rear bumper, but have no front bumper. Any help will be very appreciative. |

According to realoem all 2018 F33 have adaptive LED headlights. You won't like the price. I believe that if you have PDC rear then you've got PDC front as well.

Thanks for the response.
I was on realoem and per my vin # it showed me both part number options. For the PDC, I have the button inside car, but not sure if my wiring up front is for the sensors. I included some pictures of the front harness and I'm bot sure if any are for PDC. |

My car has Servotronic steering, it's standard but listed on a VIN decoder. I have 19" 442M wheels, again, standard for my model but listed on VIN decoder. I could go on but I think you get my drift. OP, if you had adaptive headlights you'd have this listed: 552 Adaptive Led Headlight Adaptiver Led-scheinwerfer If you have front and rear PDC you have this option: 508 Park Distance Control (pdc) Park Distance Control (pdc) Post the full decode and we'll tell you what headlights you need but it's probably standard bi-xenon as the 4er didn't get halogen. EDIT: you would have this code if you only had rear PDC: S507A (or just 507, or S507)

Yeah all LCI coupes/Grancoupes/converitbles have LED stock. Its non adaptive projectors that look very similar to pre-lci xenon lights.
The upgraded adaptive headlights are reflectors with the square looking halos I would guess if it doesnt call it out on the vin decoder then you have the stock leds.

Even if you don't care about the adaptive functionality they would still need to be coded. Wouldn't be a plug and play endeavor.

Pretty sure they'd need rewiring.
Adaptive headlights have different hardware and modules than the non-adaptive ones. It would probably be more difficult and impractical for you to try to get adaptive lights to work without the adaptive functionality than it would be to just retrofit functioning adaptive lights. The easiest thing to do would be to find non-adaptive LEDs, but if you can't do that then I'd suggest looking into how to properly retrofit the adaptive LEDs. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...63&postcount=8 Unless you have access to and knowledge of how to use ESYS & ISTA/P, you'd have to pay a coder a few bucks to do that for you. |

You can also tell by the multi-function display button on the turn signal as I believe to have full adaptive LEDs, you would have auto-high beam (tied in with a more advanced sensor on the windscreen).
The button for the auto-high beam was also on the turn sign stalk. So effectively two buttons vs. 1. Also note that the regular LEDs still auto-adjust upon start up. (up and down) |
