Carbon roof panels aren`t that expensive, 1-1.5K for a custom piece. Vorsteiner also do them off the shelf and the whole process is quite straight forward, I looked into it before I got shot of the E90.
As for that M3, not sure I`d want a performance car that`s been in accident like that before, even `tho my Mondeo is a Cat. D car. I guess it would make a good starting point for a racecar `tho if its going to be caged and seam welded. |

Saw that a month ago on ebay...bid went up to 16k only. Think its just too much to repair as you can see the extent of the front..could be chassis problems as well.

Doesn't really look like an easy repair It if was just front end or something fair enough but that looks like it would cost more than the car is worth to repair.
Totally off topic but I see a white E92 "M3" everyday in Derby, not sure if it is or not has the car has a standard white roof with a sunroof not a carbon one, all the rest of the car is exactly how an M3 should be, can't see it not being "the real deal" as why on earth would someone spend so much money on body parts and a decent E92 3 Series in the first place, I imagine if it is not an M3 it has cost as much to make into an M3 lookalike. M3 or not?

Good idea, but will officially be classed as a replica. Wont be an official BMW built car and chassis number will show this.

Could they have had a "normal" roof fitted? Just can't see it being a replica as so much must have been spent they may as well bought an M3!

lets just clarify your talking about a coupe. A saloon obviously can have a sunroof option from the factory.

It has no carbon roof, just a normal white one with a sunroof. The rest of it is as any other M3. The badge does only say ///M if I remember rightly though.
