1995 Ferrari F1 V12....
Oh, the unbelievable sound of this V12 @ redline....
Perhaps the 2022 regulations will include built-in speakers on the cars and the sounds of the glorious years projecting from the cars -

I've said on various forums including this one - that is the best sounding engine ever!

Indeed - it just sounds like the highest level of precision; its the high-pitched screaming that is over-the-top.

Yes - I've only attended one GP and it was the 2008 Monaco race....the unbelievable sound of these 18,000+ RPM normally aspirated engines echocing off the city and surrounding hills was deafening.
Tell me about your experience.

My company sent me to London for a year in 2000. I'd been an F1 fan since the old Jackie Stewart days, so since i was there I went to the Silverstone race. Nothing really prepared me for that experience.

Actually I never sit at the races. I usually hike around and watch from different spots. Part of the reason I really like WEC races because you have time to see the race from different areas. But it was great, expensive but great.

You all have obviously never been inside a G82 with the artificial engine sound turned up.
I'll see myself out. |

Where were your seats?? We sat in Casino Square at Turn 4 with the Casino Hotel to our right and the Casino in front of us; there was a huge TV screen in front of us so we could see other parts of the course. As you recall, the first third was rain; the second third was establishing a dry line and the last third....WFO. HAM in only his second in in F1 was in the McLaren and seemed to be taking Casino Square at WOT....just inches from the Armco....and take the win. We were staying in Nice and took the train to Monaco and on the return trip. Side note: It was interesting watching Monaco residents arriving via car at the Casino Hotel next to our little grandstand seats....they looked absolutely bored and disgusted at the large masses (appx 100,000 on race day) were invading their principality....
