Installed the G11/G12 stainless steel start button in my F30
been trying to find a way to replace the start button in my f30 with something metal looking, I always liked how other luxury car makers use the aluminum/SS look on their interior buttons, gives it a much more expensive look over plastic that BMW uses. One day I saw the dash of a 750i and the stainless buttons the interior comes with. I eventually found an ebay auction from a Florida junkyard. Glad i grabbed it, I think it looks amazing!

it was an "aluminum" overlay kit i found a while ago for the start button assembly, i don't know if i'd recommend it though, it looks alright. but an overlay isn't ideal, compared to full button replacement. which i don't think exists for the auto stop/start button.
haha i think he was asking about the auto stop/start button. think he was curious cause people don't usually replace that one.

FINALLY something good looking! FINALLY something which does not look like cheap ebay-tuning (as the red plastic buttons) !!
Now I am intrigued! Do you have a P/N? Is replacement easy?
