Installed the G11/G12 stainless steel start button in my F30

been trying to find a way to replace the start button in my f30 with something metal looking, I always liked how other luxury car makers use the aluminum/SS look on their interior buttons, gives it a much more expensive look over plastic that BMW uses. One day I saw the dash of a 750i and the stainless buttons the interior comes with. I eventually found an ebay auction from a Florida junkyard. Glad i grabbed it, I think it looks amazing!

Looks great! I wish someone would make quality aftermarket options in steel.

The big question is does it add the 10 hp that the red button does?

Seriously, looks nice!

it was an "aluminum" overlay kit i found a while ago for the start button assembly, i don't know if i'd recommend it though, it looks alright. but an overlay isn't ideal, compared to full button replacement. which i don't think exists for the auto stop/start button.

FINALLY something good looking! FINALLY something which does not look like cheap ebay-tuning (as the red plastic buttons) !!

Now I am intrigued! Do you have a P/N? Is replacement easy?

PN is 9302349 02, for the full start button assembly. it took me less than 5 minutes to swap the start buttons, just need a pick tool set.

Yes the start buttom for the engine. BUT the small buttom to enable/disable start stop does not fit for the f30 as you can se on the picture.
