Owned by our Governor. Many great "nature" things to do. The Cass scenic Railroad is such a treat amongst many other things.

There are some really nice hotels on the Boston waterfront and there is a water taxi from Logan airport to those hotels, so no need to rent a car. The North End is chock full of great food places and easily walkable from the harborfront hotels. All of the downtown area is walkable from there as well. No shortage of good places to eat.

And we stayed here several years ago on our way back from Nashville. It's a cool place, but again, it was years ago. I'm not sure what they have for dining and entertainment now, but it might be worth a look.

Yea you wanted top notch. This is it.

This is the resort that they built the bunker under/near for the "important people" in case the world is taken out.

Love Boston. When I lived in Jersey we would go for a weekend. This place is dope.

If y'all gonna keep mentioning Boston or MA, might as well send him to Martha's. It's nice this time of year.

I'm a bit biased here, and to me it's nice but "normalized". To others though I get a lot of comments on how amazing it is to play golf there frequently and have it easily available to me so maybe it's more of a standout to people not from the area.

https://www.halfmoonbaygolf.com/

Check out Half Moon Bay though. Great little getaway spot, gorgeous views, fantastic restaurant + back patio firepits w/ additional food and drinks (and cigars and wine and whiskey / whatever your preference).

Pasta Moon, It's Italia, Shiki Japanese Cousine are all just a few minutes away. Tons of great hiking within 5-10 minute drive away - or just walk the coastal trail from the Ritz up to the harbor (warning: that's like a 7 mile walk each direction, but you can walk there and then call the Ritz for a complimentary pickup in one of the house cars - usually either a Benz S-class, Benz SUV, or Yukon / Escalade type vehicle). Alternatively you can just call down to the front desk and have them give you a ride both ways.

Within about 30 minutes drive there are a few local breweries and wineries in San Mateo, Redwood City, etc and Burlingame Ave has some GREAT food spots. Actually pretty much anywhere "over the hill" (highway 92) opens up a ton of great food for anything you can think of - Mexican, Vietnamese, Japanese, German, Ethiopian, whatever. Wursthall in San Mateo (owned by Kenji Lopez-Alt has some fantastic food and beers, I've celebrated birthdays there with friends. ~30 min from the Ritz.

Any Ritz Carlton in Southern California. I have a preference for the one in Santa Barbara. Also Terranea Resort (Rancho Palos Verdes) it has the best view of Catalina Island across the Pacific. I have been going there every year for the past 8 years (except last year due to COVID). Try one of the villas or Casitas. I believe Terranea was where Tiger was staying when he had his accident.
If your thinking NYC. The Palace Hotel. Stay in the Towers or, Mandarin Oriental

Wonderful property but my issue is that (a) service was not up to par with the price an (b) there's not much to do in Half Moon Bay.

But the location/views are great, golf course is outstanding, they have tennis courts as well, and bike rentals. There are some beautiful biking paths near by.

Think outside continental us may not work but that’s not for me to decide. That said, the Hilton Waikoloa is one of my absolute favorites in the US.
