Was going to ask if anyone has seen anything for this. Seemed a strange decision not to do it considering how much space is there

Not really missing a frunk. But it can be handy to store some stuff in the front you dont need every day.

My dealer told me the LCI frunk cannot be opened anymore! The BMW logo on the front will function as a refill cap for the wiper flued.

I haven’t seen anything suitable yet. I do wonder if the OBC down there can handle a frunk in regards of the cooling. Might be the solution becomes worse then the problem. Since I don’t miss the space (yet?) I will leave it as it is. The charger cable fits nicely under the boot floor and when I might need it with a lot of luggage I take it out before departure. Fast Chargers have tethered cable so no need to take it out. Can’t think of anything else to store in front.

this is not right. I've seen videos where this looks the same as the current ix3.
An LCI Ix3 with opened hood and refill reservoir as it is now.

Thats correct. The LCI will have same hood and no frunk. The iX on the other hand will have a "locked" hood

Might look into doing something that's not too deep to hold the cable when mine comes. Shouldn't be too difficult, and shouldn't block any airflow etc. Have to see though. Measure it all up and 3d print some parts and work out if can borrow the vacu former to do the larger bits.

Having had two i3 s, the one thing that I do not miss is a Frunk. On an EV with a 280 mile range, how often will people need to access a charging cable or the granny charger? All the associated cables and bits for my iX3 sit happily in the rear underfloor storage. On the one occasion that I have used the public charging cable, I just tossed it behind the driver’s seat.

BMW omits the frunk on purpose, otherwise reviewers have nothing to moan about.
