Can I siphon gas from my e92?

I feel like I'm risking sounding like 213 here but hear me out. I have nearly a full tank of 91 that I planned on burning at the track and didn't use completely. Now its time for street miles and I want to have mostly e85 in the tank. I have at least 10 gal in there at the moment.

Can I siphon gas from the e92 into one of my other cars without damaging anything?

My apologies as I don't have an answer for your question, but I did laugh at "risking sounding like 213"

You will not damage anything, but one car needs to be lower than the other. Does your E92 run on E85? I didn't think E9X were flex fuel...

I have found its not actually possible to siphon fuel from an e90, there is something that prevents the hose from going all the way down into the fuel itself.

I found this out while trying to measure my E85 mix in the tank when i was having some issues and suspected there was something wrong with my mix.

I ended up having to remove the fuel pump retaining ring to grab a sample directly from the tank itself.

there's a bunch of tunes to use ethanol mixes for the turbo boys.

as I hate siphoning fuel I would pull the schrader out of the fuel rail and use inpa to turn on the fuel pump with a hose clamped on it ran to a fuel can.

I'm viewing via phone, can't see what engine the OP has. Makes sense with a tune. Fuel rail idea is a good idea. Any old bicycle pump hose would work.

Thanks. Sounds like its probably not worth the effort which is more or less what I expected.

I'd send him a DM directly, he's got to have tried it at least twice.

No Siphon Has Me Hosed!

After replacing sending unit, got my emissions test. Then, with new plugs and coils, was running much better so I filled with 93º ready to hit the mountains, and parked for the night.

Went in the garage, strong smell of gas. Pulled the rear seat, I either got the seal in wrong or the new sending unit is already cracked - or what? I want to pull the sending unit to check the seal, but don't want it to flood gas, so draining the tank is needed.

But there's a lot working against that...cranking the car with the leak risks a fire. Can't get a tube in to siphon, tried a bunch. Where is the Schraeder valve? I don't have INPA on a laptop, or a working K-CANbus cable, though I have an old Linux laptop....

Any good options? 2007 335i Sedan (e90)

The schrader valve is on the fuel rail near the intake manifold runners. But it's a very small valve that's used for attaching a pressure guage to test fuel pressure. Flow would be very low, you'd be there forever trying to pump out the tank.

I would disconnect the fuel supply line to the rail, connect an extension line from there to your carboy(s), and then run the car's fuel pump.

Many cars have a fuel pump relay which can be pulled off (usually a little, cube looking part on a board like a fuse-board) and two of the 4 or 5 terminals can be jumpered while ign is on to run the fuel pump. This car controls the lpfp via signals from the DME, IIRC. Maybe the fuel pump could be unhooked at the tank and 12v jerryrigged...spark, boom. Or get it wrong and hose the lpfp? $187.99+shpg.... Maybe the lpfp runs when you turn on ign past acc mode; but if a lot of fuel is somehow withdrawn this way, system sets a 'Massive Fuel Loss' code. Not sure the effect of that, if it can be reset via normal odb tools or what!?

BTW, thanks for your response!
