P0100 error code

I've been chasing this sporadic P0100 code for a couple of months.

2016 F36 435ix
53,000 miles
VRSF charge pipe installed at 41,000 miles
BM3 standard 93 octane tune at 41,000 miles
Otherwise stock

It came on once, checked OBD and cleared it, and then it didn't come back for about a month.

Came back, then went away, then back again.
Cleaned MAF and cleared code. Stayed off about a week.

Came back on again. Replaced MAF and cleared code. Came back 2 days later.

The car idles fine but has this jerky acceleration in comfort mode at about 1700rpm/55mph like it's not getting enough gas. (Maybe I need a heavier foot?) Otherwise appears fine.

Now what?

Disconnect MAF see if issue goes away.

Check for intake air leak.

Are there more common sites for a leak to check first?

anywhere after the maf and before the map.. usually a place that's been messed qith
