iX3 UK - delivery stop affecting G08 iX3 models
I was notified that my iX3 Premier edition would be delivered on 14th October (a whole month ahead of schedule) and delivery was confirmed.
I just received a notice from BMW dealership that BMW UK has put a delivery stop on all G08 ix3 model. They are currently awaiting information from BMW AG Germany in relation to the workshop instructions for the technical campaign and therefore have placed the vehicle on a delivery stop. No ETA has been provided. Has anyone else received similar notification? |

Not heard anything yet, however I know some of the cars were built with missing parts as they couldn't obtain them, and were set to be retrofitted when in country, so could be that?

I got my order number from the lease company earlier and gave it to an online BMW "genius" just now - was told my Pro would be at the centre (assume that is the dealer) w/c 8 Nov (ordered in April, built on 17th August). They mentioned nothing about delays, but I also used a VIN decoder to look at the spec and nothing is missing that I can see.

I just checked in with Online Genius and mine has now moved to 29th November Was originally the start of October. Starting to get annoyed with this now
Deciding when to sell my existing car, renewals etc. is going to be very difficult. I fully expect the dealer will just phone me up one day and tell me it's ready... |

I've been pestering them every week - I'm surprised they aren't sick of me already 😂 No mention of them doing anything to compensate though. Their view is that "every dealer is in the same boat" so why should they offer anything. Disappointing when we are spending this amount of money for the goal posts to constantly move.

IX3 on hold???
Hi, I have been advised by BMW online genius today that my IX3 will be delivered week commencing 4th Oct , I questioned this as we are most part of the way through suggested week but hey were adamant it would be delivered this week.
Has anyone taken delivery of an IX3 recently? was there an issue with parts not being factory fitted? |

Just heard back from my dealer, the car is definitely at Southampton and has a delivery date later in the month, also advised there is no technical campaign. Problem is who do you believe.

No issue with mine but it was built in May. Takes about 4 to 5 months from build to delivery. So I assume anyone getting delivery in the next few weeks should be ok from parts being removed

Just had a good chat with my dealer, apparently August built cars are the ones with missing features, HUD and something else apparently, they are not affecting non pro cars, so must be the pro features. Apparently BMW UK (or territory) is making the cars right before release to dealer, but they are not expected to arrive in the UK for a little bit yet. So if cars are in UK they are good, arriving shortly they sound unaffected, justvfirther out cars have technical works. The dealer network has been made aware though (notes on the delivery files) to expect possible delays in delivery to dealer.
My car unaffected, however my dealer has one other iX3 and a 5 series that already have notes. |

My cars been in the country a couple of weeks now sitting in a compound … been told it’s part of a technical campaign and the cars were shipped missing parts. Im sure this was a June build.
BMW live chat tracking has been hilarious moves by weeks back and forward throughout each day 🤣 |

Only going by what my dealer said, its not just the iX3 though coming from China, apparently the X3 from the USA is affected as is the 3 and 5 series.

My build date is 2021-08-19, just 2 days after yours. Initially dealer was saying w/c 8th Nov but now they are saying 29th Nov (BMW Genius confirms this). Have you re-checked yours out of interest, is it still w/c 8th Nov? |

Had the same message today after chasing dealer relating to a technical campaign. Resulting in a hold on the cars leaving the UK port as they need to investigate them.

There is a BMW campaign check at https://www.bmw.com.sg/en/topics/off...-campaign.html. You can enter your VIN and see if it affects you.
