Bimmercode for iX3

Does anyone know that Bimmercode is working on iX3 lci? It will be delivered to me in November.

I spoke to them asking the same thing, it's not supported at the moment.

Does it support iX3 now?

While it does not officially support G08, you can code basics such as video in motion with the X3 G01 profile

Can you code the rear lights to turn on with the DRL's? Hate that they only turn on in the dark.

On LCI that option is available as standard in idrive, car/settings/exterior lighting......toggle on/off.

I'd be interested to know if I could code the pano roof closing on rain detection using the G01 profile?

I used it to change the ambient light. Didn't work. Wrong colours, different left and right side. And backlit AC buttons in the backseat vanished. No response to the support request. Don't !

I just use the pc to do stuff, easier IMPO, but most things should work using the G01 code base. But perhaps not all of it

the_ape I wonder if you could give any pointers to get started down that route?

Equipment and software to buy, websites to look at. Anything you can recommend to get started with something a bit more advanced than Bimmercode?

Esys is what your looking for, windows pc, ethernet cable and the software. There's plenty of guides on sorting it out.

Hi, great to see someone coded G08 as I am going to get mine probably this week.

I am used to code my X3 using Tokenmaster v3.7 and ESYS and my license has expired so thinking on getting a new one, before that, would like to understand what can be coded in the G08.

the_ape, just for curiosity, what have you coded in your G08 and what do you think is worthy to code in this car as for my understading, the M Sport version comes really "coded" already.

I’m using it without any issue. Coded my to red using a G01

Based on that i updated my app and read the car. Earlier on I use x3 profile to code. But now there is ix3

I'm not seeing iX3 on my list yet if I update the app. iOS here, maybe you're Android?

If I just want to change basic headunit stuff like removing iDrive disclaimer, camera warning, and increasing from 3-blink to 5-blink turn signals, is it safe to code using the X3/X3M headunit profile?

Yes. I’m on android. But you can code them using X3 profile. I have been doing that before update no issues.
