I used a Dremel very carefully, then a pair of needle nose to pry it off. I also clamped further down the hose with pliers.

Curious why do you wanna remove the hose clamp but reuse the old hoses?

Good point. Ill check into the a new hose. My solution was to simply cut away the 1" or so of clamped hose as there was enough left to connect it correctly.

New hose comes with the plastic end I do not want, and said clamp thats a pain in the heck to remove, although completely off the car gives me a better advantage.

I upgraded that part to the Aluminum version for reliability. (pic shown but mine is aluminum in color as well)

Thanks. I ordered a Dremel 3000 yesterday with the small cutting wheels.

Changed my Mickey Mouse flange out and have had zero problems. Just make sure you clamp off the hose about 6" down so nothing goes down in there. Absolutely no need for a new hose. 200k miles and still rolling.

Smart man on the clamp off, I notice that immediately that there could be an issue with dirt or worse dropping in that hose.

Thanks for the vote, the OG hose looks fine and was probably replaced at some point, looks newer...so I am going to stick with it.

Also, I use the 'Mickey Mouse' saying too, hilarious!

I posted a DIY on exactly how to remove the plastic flange and band in the DIY section about 2 years ago.
