Just thought I’d post here as I didn’t see a UK specific space and say I’ve just ordered a 220i M Sport. I am curious to see what other fellow members have been getting in the way of discounts?

My order is as follows:

220i M Sport in White
M Sport Pro Pack
Red brake callipers
Bi colour black 19inch wheels
Aluminium trim

List price = £37,630
Discount = £3,645
Total to pay = £33,985

Dealer has no idea when it’s likely to arrive and sadly in the UK it’s not possible to track cars like you guys are able to in America. Anyway, very excited and hopefully the wait doesn’t feel too painful haha.

How are you UK guys getting such good discounts? Here in the US most are selling at MSRP, some with dealer markup. I was lucky to get $500USD off of MSRP on mine.

To get 13% is decent, what dealer was that?

I’m surprised you guys have build week allocation etc, my dealer and I’ve spoken to the BMW genius says it’s waiting for the factory to accept the order.

I got nearer 7%
I’ve had conflicting info regarding build plans, originally I was told they wouldn’t plan until the uk launch was agreed and announced, but later was told it would go into build in w48. I’m a bit sceptical, but it doesn’t make much sense to launch the car and not have any customers in them. I assume they will announce the date (late January?) when the press embargo is lifted on the 16th Nov. All we can do is wait and share any updates we get.

It was part of the NHS/Military/Emergency service programme.

Didn't know you got a discount for emergency services mate, was there a process to go through to get this discount?

My order is in through Park Lane under the NHS Scheme.

To answer the above question, you need to order through Park Lane and be a member of the armed forces, a teacher or work for the NHS. I think other emergency services personnel are included as well.

I have gone for Thundernight!! Used to love Techno Violet back in the day.

All packs bar Tech plus.

No adaptive, might have a re think on that.

Glad the UK gets the proper seats!

Hi there. I'm curious to know what dealer your using? I was in a dealer in Glasgow today enquiring about the G42 220i very similar spec to your own and was offers £695. That's very low compared to yours, that said my list price comes in at £34,271.67

Just had a look on the Bmw stock locator Uk, there are 7 cars on there tonight 19/02/22
1x 240i. 3x220i and 3x220d. Look like they are at dealers in the uk already..

I'll be surprised if any of them are actually at the dealer at present.

Probably on route to the dealers as majority of UK dealers aren't even getting there demos until early March.

But none the less I agree worth people snapping them up as beats waiting long like some of us have had to.

So my car spec changed, but the dealer discount still stood. My spec now is:

M Sport Pro Pack
Comfort Pack
Technology Pack
Aluminium Trim

List price including the OTR charges comes out at £39,455. With the discount the amount now comes at £34,987. I’m happy to say which dealer it is, but not publicly, so feel free to private message.

I definitely know this deal is ridiculously great, because no other dealer I spoke to afterwards is willing to match or come near it.

I spoke to the online genius yesterday and he confirmed that my car is now scheduled for production - w/c 28th March.

So hoping I can have the car by end of April or first week of May 🤞.

In Europe and Uk car sales work differently… we NEVER pay over msrp, and usual always get discount (somewhere between 5% and 10% is normal) often discounts can go a LOT higher, but not with brand new models.
But cars are also a lot more expensive over here…

For example I paid my M240i around 75.000$ (Belgium), while in the US you would buy the same car around 58.000$.
In the country next to mine, the Netherlands, you even pay 125.000$ for that same M240i.

I ordered my 220d at end of January but no estimated delivery date have a production number and genius states order placed but not confirmed by factory, for those of you who have ordered how long before you had an estimated build date?

I ordered my M240i in January, delivery is supposed to be June, I almost changed it for an M340i as it was available for immediate collection, but when I found it didn’t have the touch screen due to the chip shortage, I decided to stick with the M240i. My dealer said the first lot of M240’s (end of March & April delivery) won’t have touch screens either or AppleCar Play, although there will be an update in Q2 for Apple CarPlay without touchscreen.
Has anyone else heard this ?

I have a 220i on order and spoke to the online BMW genius a couple of days ago and he only mentioned the deletions were head up display and passenger lumbar support. So I don’t think touchscreen or Apple CarPlay deletions are a thing.
