You guys do remember that Porsche's last F1 project (PU supplier for Footwork in 1991) was a complete disgrace? Zero points, even qualifying the car was too much to ask for.
Obviously, that was a long time ago but still..

The TAG-Porsche F1 involvement ended 1987 though. In 1988, McLaren switched to Honda PU's.

A great looking car for the time I think and there's me thinking Footwork was at first a fitnesss shoe company and not a venture capital firm.

I agree. If Porsche/VW were to enter F1, they would do so as their own car/manufacturer/constructor team - no way they would be just be an engine supplier, especially to a team like Red Bull, there's no benefit. Porsche's name brand has become a lot bigger and with the success that Mercedes-AMG has had, that would be the benchmark.
