G42 M240i Discount

I just put in my order today for an M240i xDrive for MSRP. In normal times, 2-Series custom orders were frequently had for 8-10% off. Has anyone been able to get a discount for an order?

I received a $1000 price discount on my order. From what I was told, dealers aren't marking up these cars as of right now.

I got $1860 off mine. This was also in early September and I would say the car buyer has less options and bargaining power at this point.

A lot of dealers in LA are marking up. I don't think 8-10% would be possible these days. I'm getting $1000 that's only because of my loyalty to the dealership. A dealer in SD sent me the quote with a 10k markup 🤦🏽*♂️😬

It seems like california dealers love markup lol

I am on the east coast and I know a few M240is that are on dealer lots that are available for MSRP here.

A lot dealers sell for msrp, the further you go from LA. And I noticed that some of them say msrp and in the quote they add $2500 thinking, they think I'm blind? I wanted to wait until next year, but then if the msrp goes up from bmw or the interest rate jump up then it won't be that much of a saving. I also have an OL code I'm hoping to use.

How did you pull off 2.5k and where? 🤯 maybe because of the trade-in?

Did any of you get an email from BMW NA stating that if you test drive a car they will give you $1,000 off? It has to do with a charitable cause. BMW M240 was included in the offer.

Check the fine print:
"This offer cannot be used for vehicles previously ordered or delivered before November 18, 2021"

I have an OL code that is expiring at the end of the month but my friends OL code isn't expiring until 2022? Do they check the names on the OL code? He registered to ude event with the same address as me

Two local dealers gave me quotes about a month ago on a potential order. Both were at MSRP, plus a $400 - $500 doc fee.

For me, at least without any incentives (doing the math) and with taxes I'm looking at around $735 USD a month….

Price: $55k (rounded up)
Down payment: $5k-$6k
Miles: 12k per pear
Lease term: 36 months

My dealer posted a deal for $2,500 down with a monthly payment of $650 w/o taxes included, but I think it may be for their own built allocation.

I should be able to pick up my car this upcoming week so I'll update my post to give the real numbers.

Never make a down payment on a lease. If you crash on day one that money is gone

Agreed. I own now, but when I've leased in the past I've always put money down or else I was stuck with a monthly payment that was really high.

I looked around and no dealers in Southern California are offering any incentives for $0 down. Without putting anything down I'm looking at a payment near, if not above $1k per month.

Thinking about all this maybe I should have gotten a broker to help me get a hood deal on a lease.

Honestly, in my personal opinion, all leases are trash right now. They have no incentive to lease a car, let alone discount them. Finance the car with BMW NA at .9% APR with zero down. Your monthly payment should be around 1050 after taxes, and you will own the car.

Also, agree you never put money down on a lease. That cash is gone day one on something you don’t own.

The payments depend heavily on the MSRP. My car at $53,020 is $830/mo 12k miles, 36 months with "$0" down (first payment and fees due at signing).

In general, it's good to not put money down on a lease. On our last few leases, the Finance Manager has actually talked us out of putting money down. I'm not sure how this benefits them? I always go in assuming they are just there to extract more money from me when closing the deal. In my case I have agreed value insurance on my cars so I can set the amount they're covered for and can account for a down payment if I chose to.

Given the current market and pricing, I believe leasing makes sense. Nobody knows when, or if, things will return to normal, and if you plan to get out of the car in a few years it may not happen, these are niche cars and not SUVs. Even now, not every vehicle is bringing trade-ins of basically MSRP. I've checked with a few dealers, Carvana, Vroom, etc and nobody wants my 18 340i 6MT RWD for more than roughly $35,000, the MSRP new was over $62,000

IS this just a west coast promotion? I haven't received the promotion, but wouldn't mind an extra grand off my car. Can this be shared?

Anyone paid 10k over sticker? 😂😂 Lots of dealers are asking for 10k over sticker and I'm wondering if anyone is paying that.
