Has anyone else been stuck in final assembly? My car finished production 10/22 and hasn't been updated since. I contacted my CA and he said he would get back to me soon but I've had no word from him. Genius advisor told me my car would be coming to the states by train. Anyone else in the same situation?

Damn. I wanted blue so badly but I was a little apprehensive about going all in with options and upgrades on my first vehicle. Super happy for you!

I have mineral white metallic sports line with harman kardon, live cockpit, active cruise, comfort access, and moonroof delete. Everything else is standard.

Mine has been stuck in final assembly but they said the production is actually finished and handed over to sales team since 10/21.

I am starting to doubt I'll have the car on the release date. ugghh..

Yeah. I think we all waiting in the same batch.
From my CA: rail to port then vessel to port then truck to Vehicle process center then truck to dealer.

From OP: rail to Vehicle process center then truck to dealer

My dealer told me that they received a car that skipped all the status update 😂 (still shows the car is at the factory)

I do not think they bring the rail into Texas, hence shipping everything by boat. I do not think they have the infrastructure to receive and distribute the cars in Texas. The rail goes from SLP, Mexico to Altamira for East Coast and I am not sure of the port they use on the West Coast of Mexico.

The facilities they have built in Brunswick, Georgia and other East Coast ports are substantial.

Paid my CA a visit today. His computer is showing produced but not shipped. He assumes it's because of supply chain issues. He's probably right.

I'd say we'll have our cars close to December. He told me that they had a sale stop in effect till the 20th anyways. I got some shots of a white 230i. I'll post it in my thread on the photos subforum.

He made reference to the car getting here by ship, btw.

Genius people said the car is still at the factory as of this morning.

I don’t know which is accurate.

I've also found the Genius and dealership sometimes provide different answers to the same questions.

Maybe Texas deliveries come directly to the US via train and for some reason the tracker just stays stuck at "Final Assembly" until they have reached the vehicle processing center.
