Very nice! The BSM/Cognac is a classy combo. How do you like your car so far?

Thank you .

I love it. I haven't had too much time to drive it but my 3 biggest takeaways so far are:

1. It's so comfortable. Even in Sport+, it's dampening is softer than what I expected (I'm coming from a Kia Stinger GT RWD).

2. It has really good sound detonation. It's almost a bad thing because I'd like to hear the exhaust more. That said, the fix for me is get an aftermarket exhaust.

3. It feels a bit heavier than expected - my Stinger felt a bit more nimble but I think I need a bit more time with it to conclude that this is the case.

Bottom-line, its a great daily driver.

BMWs have gotten heavier over the past few generations. They don't feel as " nimble" when comparing them to lighter vehicles. That goes away when you realize the suspension and power train really make up for it and the palpable sense of extra mass. They can be nimble, just need to get used to their handling characteristics.

Thank you for the background information. I'm interested in hearing what your your initial impressions are once you take delivery as you've previously owned two BMWs.

I had the BMW performance exhaust on a 135i that I owned. Absolutely loved it. Nothing obnoxious and didn't drone on the highway.

I have the M-Performance exhaust on my current 340i, same impressions here, it sounds great but is in no way obnoxious even in Sport mode.

Delivery timeline

Congratulations! I was wondering if you could provide a timeline of when you ordered your car or when it finished production to when it was delivered. I am eagerly waiting for mine to be delivered but the tracker is just stuck on "Final Assembly". Thanks!

Ignore the BMW updates, they're way off in some cases ATM. I've had cars show up that were weeks away according to them.

Hey - I actually picked this one off the lot. It was almost the exact spec that I wanted. BSM w/ cognac interior, blue calipers, and some convenience options.

Would've liked the red calipers and shadowline package but I was impatient

Also, for shadowline, I think I needed the premium package, which I didn't really want to pay for.

Ordered the car on 9/10.
Mine's been stuck in Final Assembly since 10/21 and still at the factory as of this morning.

Maybe they are shipping the cars to us folks in TX last.

Damn... I wonder what the issue is. My car finished production on Nov. 2nd. Hopefully the tracker is just messed up and the cars will show up by the end of the month.

I hope so too! I'll post again if there's any movement on mine. Ours might end up on the same ship.

Have you talked to your CA?

Likewise. I talked to BMW Genius and they told me that it had left the factory or something like that and they told me to ask my CA since they may have more information. I asked my CA and he said "The car is still in production in Germany." I was honestly shocked hahaha I had to explain to him how the 2 series coupe is being made exclusively in mexico and that my car had finished production on Nov 2nd.

He said I was right but that he had no update other than "your car is still at the factory" I'm assuming he was checking the bmw tracker or something. I feel like my CA is new at his job or something, he barely communicates with me.
