bmw cash incentives with loan somewhere else

Just had this random thought is this possible? The dealer gets a check from the back anyway right?

I believe if there is an available incentive it'd still apply if you use outside financing. I've always gone with BMW Financial because it's easy and the rates have always rivaled my Credit Unions.
