What M240 features do you want explored more?
Hey yall!
I recently got hands on with that gorgeous blue M240 and shot a quick review and drive video. It's likely I could get more time with one here soon but thought I would ask: If I can get the time, what feature or system would you like more details on? Sadly, it couldn't be track time or similar as these are dealership models, not press cars or loaners. Ideas?

Can you do something on the Sprint function please.
I know it drops gears but i want to know if it changes driving modes, eg from Comfort to Sport plus? I’ve used the Sport Response button in a Porsche which gives you 20 seconds and works really well. If you have the M LEDs I understand that there is a sequence it goes through on start up or opening/closing door. Thanks in advance |

Thanks for offering yourself to open questions:
1) I'd like to know your impressions about the noise coming from outside at regular highway speeds and since you have experience adding extra silence on door panels and other if you think it's still an ""easy"" job and where should i place that material to make it more silent (below seat? , only door panels?, etc) 2) Also curious, in the one you show in the image, with the 792M wheels, seems that the tires are non-runflat. Right? Are rear 255mm 35 ? |

One side note, I have now seen one (a 2021 X3) that has hard plastic with a gasket design, in the doors for vapor barriers. I have also seen the same design in the new Supra (which is as we know essentially a BMW), so the new M240 might be the same. Realoem isnt updated yet, so I can't check the doors, but I wouldnt be surprised if the old foam style vapor barriers in doors is doing away in current designs. On the tires, the model I drove had 225/40 R19 all-season runflat tires You can order other choices though: Optional: 19-inch wheels with 225/40R19 front and 255/35R19 rear performance runflat tires 19-inch wheels with 245/35R19 front and 255/35R19 rear performance non-runflat tires.

Making the car quieter makes you enjoy better the exhaust sound, specially here in Europe where exhaust do not sound so well than in USA, so hearing a bit better is something that comes with joy) I'll may ask, if you don't mind in coming months, if you could take a look to the REALOEM (probably you can easily see better than me if it looks like more like a G20 or other you know than me just by watching the diagrams ) Thanks also about the tires info. 225/255 allseason performance, sounds great. 225 squared looks skinny for this beast. |

The HK sound system. The G42 has the 2 more speakers than the previous model, but much, much more importantly a stronger amp (now at 464w). I've only seen a few YT videos reviewing it through the M340i
I will likely upgrade the front speakers and the floor subwoofers (Bavsound perhaps), but I likely don't need to for the amp now (that would be like $1K). Last edited by Ricochet48; 11-24-2021 at 02:45 PM.. Reason: context |

Side note, I have installed both BavSound and Bimmertech Alpha Ones in multiple of my cars and others now. Bav is really good, but I find the A1s to be even better, just imho. That would also open the door to their custom amp later, if you still felt you needed it.
