What is your opinion on Lane Keep Assist

What is your opinion of the Lane Keep Assist feature? I personally feel like it's too obtrusive.

I picked up the car in Greenville, SC and in the first 5 minutes on the interstate, I felt like it was going to drive me into the concrete barrier several times. I turned off the lane intervention but I have left on the steering wheel vibration that warns me when it thinks I am drifting out of lane.

I leave the buzzer on but learned to switch off the steering adjustment after it kept second guessing me.

The first time the forward crash alert goes off and slams on the brakes will certainly get your attention. I was getting on the interstate and a car in front of me decided they needed to come to a stop and the car decided I wasn't stopping quick enough.

Opinion and experience: that feature is a annoying sonafabitch!

After 2 months of ownership, I finally turned mine off last night. This morning's drive to drop my toddler off to school was so much more fun, I felt liberated!

Garage List
I have it turned off, except for the vibrate set to moderate, on both my 340 and my wife's X5 (under my profile).

Definitely takes some getting used to. I want to turn it off but I'm scared I will end up regretting it.

Hate it...just the worst! I even think it should be banned.

I don't mind it when I'm using adaptive cruise on a long highway road trip. Dislike it around town or on short trips. I don't mind it beeping to tell me I'm driving like a asshat though.

I turned it off almost instantly. Both the steering intervention and warning.
