Camera quality (in bad weather)

I now drive a Skoda Superb, where the rearview camera is also "in" the trunk. My previous car was a VW where the camera was behind the VW logo. To activate the camera, the logo folded out; so the camera was always clean, dirt-, moisture- and frost free. With the Skoda it is not the case, so I have to clean the lens on a regular basis to get a clear view. What about the (quality of the) cameras of the iX3s, during bad weather?

Sorry to disappoint you but it does get contaminated when the road surface is wet.

So, on this +70k premium car I need to get a cloth once in a while to clean the lenses?

Seems to be the trend I’m afraid, not many cars have a ‘concealed’ camera

It is also pretty atrocious at night in the dry. My previous Ford and Audis had much better reversing cameras.

Always coat mine with a little rainx and seems to do a decent job, although must admit this one ain't as good as the previous one on the 225xe. But sure that's due to the shape of the 225xe
