I was wondering what your thoughts were on the aero covers on the wheels?

I was a bit surprised when i got the car to find that they had the aero covers - I haven’t been able to find anything on the BMW website that says it has them, or what they look like without them.

I am split as to whether the car looks better with or without them. As the wheels underneath are just black, the car looks quite ‘stealth’ against the carbon black of my car, but because the wheels have been designed with the covers to be applied, they are a funny shape. Also the bit of silver on the covers does add a bit of interest.

However, I cant get over the idea of plastic covers being a bit like having cheap hub caps! They also don’t feel overly strong, so i am not sure how much they will take being taken on and off for cleaning. I have noticed that they have also left marks where they clip on.

Has anyone found anything which says the benefits of having them on?

I am in two minds to go without them, but if my economy is going to drop then I might just have to put them on and leave them on!
