BMW Performance Steering Wheel?
Hi guys, anyone know how much one of these is?
They look the muts nuts! Quite fancy one but I'm guessing they have to be around the £600 mark? Anyone want a standard M3 wheel? Might be one up for sale!!! |

Looks tempting. How much of the existing wheel does that use - airbag etc?
Wonder if its as chunky as the sport wheel - I have the boring SE wheel and its too skinny for my hands. Ant? |

i have one they are chunky and if you set the rev limt quite low ( there is no need to rev the backside off a diesel) the flashing lights are a pain as they still operate when you are in top gear. the paddleshift wheels are about £100 more than the manual ones. nice wheel but worth the money? not sure

Hi again guys.....just to let you know that I got my wheel yesterday and fitted myself with the telephone help of Ant at Speed Religion where I purchased it.
Really happy with it and with the service from the boys at Speed Religion. Quick delivery and very helpful when fitting also. Recommended! Will post some pictures soon. Cheers

you can select at what revs you want the leds to start coming on and when you turn on the car, all the functions of the wheel are actuallly off. you need to manually turn it on by pressing two bottons at 9 and 3 o'clock on the wheel to be honest, this is just a toy which looks nice at night. for practical purposes, the normal m3 dct steering does the job.

Regarding the airbag, how do you know you have fitted it correctly?

Two connectors on the back are colour coded and only fit in the proper way... then it just clips back into the steering wheel with a firm push. Can't go wrong, and if you do, you get a warning light!
