Lease deal or hose deal
I went to look at a new 335i sedan. The dealer offered this up. But the numbers to me are a rip.
MSRP 44500 MF .0024 Res 58% Down 1700 12k Year Payment with 6% Tax = 764 I should have made them print this one off, but this seems way high. Also what at the MF number for Nov and Dec on a 335i sedan, thanks Ron |

First thing first Your dealer is marking up the MF, second, without the cap cost reduction I cannot really figure out HOW BAD this deal is..
Oh and December rates are not out yet, BMW usually releases the new rates on teh 5the 5th of each month.. 2009 BMW 335i Sedan 24 Month – Residual 67% of MSRP – .00175 Base Rate 36 Month – Residual 60% of MSRP – .00175 Base Rate 48 Month – Residual 41% of MSRP – .00285 Base Rate 60 Month – Residual 34% of MSRP – .00285 Base Rate

Very bad deal... Payments should be in the $500s.... $690+ would be payments for a e92 335....
Bargin bargin bargin... Tell them $550 including tax or you're walking away! If they dont call you back, just goto another dealer and say X dealership offered me X ($100 lower than the actual monthly price) and see what that dealer says. If they accept, goto the next one and lower it $100 or $75 etc each time until you get rejected right off the bat. |

Thanks
Yeah another dealer offered one up at 650. But im going to keep looking. Thanks for the info. Looks like the MF is what was screwing, and along with the price they wanted for the car, again thanks Ron

$764/mo sounds like a horrible deal. For comparison's sake, I bought my 335 (MSRP $45650, paid $41750+ttt) and I am paying $777/mo with zero down and 0.9% financing. Lease pmts should be a few hundred $/mo less....

I was paying $550 including tax on my 335 sedan in March 07, sticker was 44k I think I got 1k off sticker or so. Mileage was 10k 24month lease. I had $1800 drive off and 1k cap reduction. Sept 2008, went to dealer and they were going to give me a 335 COUPE, with auto, prem package and sports package for $550 with $1800 drive off only. 12k miles for 36 months!!!! You just need to cut to the chase and know what their tipping point is. I think they offered me this deal because 2009 cars were on the boat... Again, just goto the dealer find an e90 with a sticker of atleast 44k and say your ready to sign if they give you the following deal.... Say you were already approved at another dealer and BMW FS has your paper work. $1800 drive off 12k miles a year 36 months $550 including taxes Within the first 5 minutes they'll say oh thats impossible or let me go ask my manager... And will come back with an offer $75-$100 more and say NO, $550 or I'm leaving... I didnt come here to bargin or waste both of our time. BE DEMANDING!!! |

I'm glad you got the car for a monthly payment that suits your needs, but keep in mind that you have a very low mileage limit (which is why you got a fairly high residual) and that doesn't work for a lot of people. You also leased back when BMW subsidized more of the leasing cost with high residuals I don't necessary think the OP is getting a 'bad' deal, it merely reflects the reality that BMW has lowered the residual values to be more in line with actual value of the car after the lease. OP, don't pay a cap cost reduction, shop around credit unions to see if you can get a better MF and residual than what BMW FS is negotiating, and negotiate up from the invoice price, not down from MSRP. don't compare deals on older vehicles with older BMW FS lease rates. it isn't realistic for the market forces that are currently in play |

I was offered 399 (430 with taxes) on a 08 335 sedan with the exact same 44.5K MSRP. That was 3 years $4500 down and 10000 miles a year. I was being offered invoice price on that lease.
