Missing line

So I just replaced my waterpump and I noticed this just sitting there with no line to it. Any ideas? It is on the passenger side, between the intercooler intake pipe and the lower radiator hose.

Thanks

Not sure exactly what part you're talking of in the photo?

Between the hose clamp to the radiator and the radiator shroud you can see a place where a hose goes. It looks like it had a rubber cap on it that cracked off. It may have been the trans cooler but no idea.

Is your car manual?
It looks like the trans cooler nipple for AT.

It is manual. I was thinking it may be for the trans cooler on auto. The cap rotted off at some point. Not sure if I need to replace it

It won’t harm anything if it’s left open.

I can't help. Your is auto so your transmission has a cooler. Sometimes they have standalone oil-to-air or they use the radiator as a cooler (they have 2 tanks built I side). Mine doesn't have anything coming out of it and the sealing cap came totally off. I can stick my finger in the hole
