New Car Ordered
Morning all,
I have ordered a new iX3 MSport pro in white a couple of weeks ago. I am excited but a little nervous about making the full switch from my G20 330e to full electric car but only time will tell if it's the right decision I guess. I have a demo of a iX3 for a couple of days and have to say it was fantastic! I am fully WFH now so I don't do huge miles just the usual family holiday and weekends away etc so I am sure with planning it will be fine. A couple of question if anyone can help please. I currently have the 360 camera's on my 330e but couldn't seem to see anything about it being an option on the iX3? Also does any know if the roof bars from a G20 will fit the new iX3 at all? Many thanks, Simon Last edited by BMW_MAD; 02-09-2022 at 05:15 AM.. |

The iX3 has roof rails - I assume your previous vehicle had rails. According to the Thule website, their foot and adaptor kit are exactly the same for both vehicles. I would therefore conclude that both vehicles use the same roof rails. However, the recommended bar for the 330e is shorter than the iX3. So BMW supplied roof bars may be too short for the iX3. |

I currently have laser lights but I haven't spec'd them on the iX3. Whilst they are amazing I can't justify the monthly cost for them on the IX. Si |

In my order 360 camera is included in Park Asistant Plus. Regular Park Asistant has only rear camera and 360 parking sensors. And it was an option half year ago when I was ordering mine, don't know how it looks like now.
Edit: also would like to add, that my car was supposed to be produced in september but because there were restrictions for camera 360, it was delayed to december and finally produced in january and still waiting for ship. I doubt it is default equipment. Last edited by bilbabon; 02-09-2022 at 11:52 AM.. |

I think it depends on what your dealer already has in the build allocation, and how set you are on a particular specification (you may have to make some compromises).
But you should be able to get something in the 2nd half of the year from what I can see. I ordered in January and am expecting delivery in June, but yesterday my dealer offered me another car (which had the towbar I originally wanted) and that would have pushed me back to September. Like all new cars at the moment, it is a sellers market, so, no huge discounts or deals, and if you snooze you lose. |
