Anyone do a muffler delete yet?

Was wondering if anyone has done a muffler delete yet?

I was genuinely considering it. I ran a muffler delete on my F32 with catless DP/BM3 stage 2 and it sounded great. People found it hard to believe that I didn't have a catback system.

That was on the B48 though. Not sure if the B58 would yield similar results or be a bit much.

Probably gonna do AA catted DP first after I finally pass the break-in miles

Well when I get mine here in a couple of weeks I'll be chopping off the muffler so I will definitely post a video.

I wasn't considering a muffler delete since most cars just sound obnoxious. However, this car is quite muted compared to previous generations (as far as bangs and pops go) so maybe removing the muffler isn't a horrible idea.

That's what I was thinking also.

I came here to make this post right now. I was going to take a poll.. should I just cut it off and make a straight quad? If it’s too loud, I’ll just wait for m performance or awe axle/cat back because that’s a no brainer.

After inspecting the midpipe, there is no res there so I feel the m performance will finally be a contender with akropovic or dinan in sound so no matter something will get bolted on there after the “temp” quads maybe 🤔

If it ends up sounding good your pockets will truly thank you

I initially had planned to only keep the muffler delete on my F32 temporarily until buying a catback system, but after hearing the way it sounded I no longer had any desire to drop an extra $2k for a bit more refinement and less drone.

Garage List
Be aware that unlike the F32, the original exhaust on the G42 is a straight pipe from the downpipes to the rear muffler, no resonator or central silencer like the old ones.

Yes, I posted photos a few weeks ago when I had the car on the lift. There is a res in the downpipe but midpipes are just a double tubing from the cat. Im going to cut the muffler off and weld a clamp on to it so I can revert back to stock if I dont end up getting the M-Performance down the road.

Muffle delete

Did mine recently sounds pretty good definitely louder on cold starts, once warmed up tho it quiets down a lot, when driving definitely has a deeper tone pops a little more aggressive but not crazy loud. Pretty good option if you're tired of waiting for an exhaust to come out good thing is you can keep the valve in since it's after the muffler. Will post cold start tomorrow.

That's good news. I'm excited to see how it sounds at cold start as well as on throttle when cruising. Thanks!

Thanks man! Definitely louder but not obnoxious. Is there any noticeable drone while driving?
