Finally picked up a new to me 6 MT...
...not quite a BMW but it is a NA 6 cylinder with a 6 MT. It's a 2008 with 15,000 miles, super clean 2 previous owners with a full service history at the Porsche dealer. Only real options are seat heaters, performance suspension, and the 6 MT (base was a 5 speed). No nav, no bluetooth, no adaptive cruise control...It's such an amazing driver's car...very analog and engaging. The engine is right behind your ears and the sounds permeate the cabin. It's been everything I expected it would be...the only surprise has been the handling and the brakes. I thought my E90 and GTI handled and stopped well, but this is next level...
Anyways...I haven't found a Porsche forum yet that's anywhere near as good as this one is (does anyone know of one?) I'm keeping the BMW as well so I'll still be around here. Thanks for reading... Last edited by Bimmer_Engineer; 02-27-2022 at 06:27 AM.. |

Nice purchase! P-Cars truly are an entirely different level of drivers cars. I made the initial plunge 2 years ago, and it’s been AMAZING. Come on over to Rennlist.com
I’m not sure about the 987 forum, but I’m very pleased with all the action on the 996 Turbo and 957 forums. Lots of great DIYers over there. Enjoy the new car! |

Thanks for the suggestion on Rennlist...will head over and check it out. Fortunately aside from an oil change and a brake fluid flush there's no other maintenance due rn. It should give me plenty of time to read up on DIY...
