This evening BMW Berry Croydon had there unveiling evening of the new 2 series where they had a 220D and a M240I X Drive.

Considering this was the first time I've seen it in the flesh since ordering in December 2021 it was great to see it and to be able to sit in it opposed to forever looking at photos and videos on YouTube lol

I didn't get many photos as was to busy staring and sitting in them so do excuse the photos on this post not being great, but for our UK fans on here who haven't yet seen one in the flesh your in for a treat as it was a complete different kettle of fish when sat starting you in the face and had so much presence.

And as for that interior I left at the end leaving in my TTRS Roadster feeling like I was leaving on horse and carriage compared to how comfy the M240I felt

Big thanks to Tony Lewis and Joe Achilles for the unveiling and can't wait til my Thundernight beast lands in the next 3 weeks.

If any of you can, do get to a dealer that has one and view it asap as photos do not do it justice in my opinion.

I think the purple mirrors look pretty good compared to the black ones in the M Pro package. Actually now that I think about it, its rather odd that the car has the Shadowline package with gloss black grills but not black mirrors. Usually the M240i has either the Cerium Gray ones or the gloss black ones. Maybe only the 230i would get body color.

That purple car also has a light interior (Oyster?) that cannot be ordered in the UK.

I think the mirrors look great in matching body colour.

Shame you don't get the option to choose them.

The oyster looked great with the Thundernight and If I could of specced it I would have but as someone said above it's not an option on the M240I in the UK.

But I did prefer the seats in the M240I though they felt much more comfortable in my opinion.

It’s because if the M seats we get, you can only get them in Cognac and Black for some reason (same on M340) and they’re standard on the 240, so…. US cars can even have red interior as they get the stock seats.

I was there too!! Ordered mine from Tony in January. I was surprised they both had the black gloss interior. I’d already seen it at Goodwood FOS, but couldn’t couldn’t resist seeing it again
