People be sleeping on the G42. 406 stock and 450 WHP with JB4 doesnt surprise me at all. I have a JB4 and AA catted DP on mine and was able to get a 3.18 0-60 and 11.3 1/4. Did some highway pulls with a 392 charger and 19 GT350. Walked the 392 and dead even with the 350 (it would creep up under power but lose all ground when having to shift).

Heres a dragy:

406 is pretty close to what I posted a week or two ago as my expectation...

Yeah I just did some back of the napkin math. Using a 15% loss factor. It may be even more with a torque converter in all-wheel drive.

they say it's 406 bhp in the video so it's only like 20 more than the rated engine power.

I remember my 5.0 mustang GT with the advertised 435 hp dynoing in the 360's...

Wow, those are some impressive numbers. The 0-60 with JB4 is almost a full second faster than BMW's stock number of 4.1.

I hate that they underrate their engines so much, but I love it too, it's like a surprise when you get a BMW, ". Hmmm let's see how much it actually makes "

Hate to be the party pooper but are we sure that's whp? I don't think it is.

I know obviously that's what a dyno measures and the numbers we use in the US but it looks to me like they're using some sort of conversion factor to give us a "brake horsepower" number. The same B58 engine in a RWD Z4 or Supra makes ~380whp. I find it hard to believe it's making over 400 at the wheel with the xDrive.

If you watch the video, they got a 0-60 of 3.54 seconds. They also said they couldn't repeat it and got a bunch of 3.8s after.

Is your car on a custom tune? If not, would it even be worth it to do a dyno tune?

What are the air fuel ratios & IAT looking like?

Is there also a 100 octane map for the JB4? I wonder what power increase it would give. I assume it would bump you into the 10 second mark on the 1/4 mile.

Impressive stats my friend! Bravo.

AFAIK, no one has posted a dyno of a stock 2022 M240i with whp numbers. This video clearly says BHP.

Can you guys please post the WHP results? I think that's the number we're more used to in the US instead of BHP.

My understanding is BHP is the same crank hp or advertised hp. For an AWD car with an automatic transmission, I would expect 15%+ drivetrain loss.

406 BHP x .85 = 345whp
