Acceleration problems.

Got BM3 installed almost 2 months and the intercooler was installed 1 month. Everything was working fine.

Yesterday morning, when accelerating, it was like driving a minivan. I can hear the turbo kick in but no pull but slowly accelerate. The turbo sounded like blowing with a big fan inside a room in my engine bay(Prior I didn’t hear that before). Feels like the car is drowning in the water when driving. It will stall at 55mph and accelerate again if I step hard on the gas.

The mechanic changed the top gaskets due to leaks near the spark plugs area but not the round thing on top of the engine bay.

No error code so far. My mechanic is closed.

Lolwut. It sounds like you have a massive boost leak. Check all your CP connections as a simple first step (coupler, TB, and IC connections). If nothing obvious, do smoke/pressure test.

As mentioned, sounds like charge pipe or boost leak. I've had a charge pipe fall off and the car will sound loud and run like a weak 4 cylinder. I would look into what that round thing is, though.

Found out it is the Boost Leak like everyone is suggesting. You guys are the best!!!!

Its from the large hose clamp from the pipe below the throttle body. Probably from installing the IC, the mechanic loose that. Mechanic tried 2 times and still popped off. I tried it made sure the bottom is secured and still popped off after hard acceleration.

From the site it says 3". I probably go to HomeDepot and get a cheaper stainless clamp.

The round thing I was talking about is the PCV valve which is functioning fine. There are youtube videos like 1 below shown that we can cut and replace with amazon one. The mechanic said my car is different and that has to change the whole top part...

You really need a T-bolt clamp for the CP as should have been provided and not a generic host clamp like the home depot one you linked.... Assuming the t-bolt one isnt stripped or otherwise broken, it should hold just fine. Its more likely the coupler/CP are not installed correctly, specifically that coupler is not aligned properly on the two CP pieces. If the coupler isnt far enough up on the top half, namely so that the clamp sits behind the bead, its going to pop off.

thejeremyman9 Thanks!
I took your advice and had my mechanic take the whole CP out and reinserted again on the plastic part. This time is all the way in. Hopefully this time it will last.

VRSF....they don't warranty the plastic coupler and T-Bolt clamps. If this time still has a problem, I will go with a different brand.
