Weird door lock issue

I just picked up my car from the dealership after having one of the tires replaced. When I got to my destination, I couldn't lock my driver's door. It wouldn't lock from the interior switch or the key. I then physically pressed the lock on the door to lock it. Now, I have the opposite problem. The switch and the key can lock the door, but can't unlock it. I can unlock it by pulling on the interior handle.

I have a call into the dealership. Anyone have any suggestions?

Service advisor says he's never heard of this issue before. Setting up an appointment

I think I recall a post similar to this from many months ago, but I wouldn’t even know what to search.

Even if you did, you wouldn't find it

Good luck jimbethesda. You should demand they upgrade you to ///M Performance door lock pins to avoid this kind of trouble in the future.

Update…It went back to not locking. So, again, I pressed down on the lock itself so I didn't leave the car unlocked. Now, it's fixed. I can lock and unlock no problem

I hope it stays that way and does not become an intermittent problem. Intermittent problems are very frustrating as they only seem to be issues when I'm driving, and appear to be fixed once at the dealership

I believe the guy had an issue with the wrong part being installing & missing pins in either the harness or switch itself.

So now it's completely intermittent. Sometimes it's fine, sometimes I have to sit in the passenger seat and lean over to pull the driver's door handle to unlock. And sometimes it unlocks, but won't lock without pressing down on the lock.

I hate intermittent issues!

Sometimes I notice the “finger touch” to door handle doesn’t seem to work on mine .

Mine's definitely mechanical, when it's not working, nothing works except pulling the interior door handle to unlock or pushing down the lock itself to lock.

When it's not locking, even the auto lock after drive-off doesn't work, only the passenger side locks.
