Gloss Black Front Lip for M340i?

Hello guys,

I’m waiting for my car to arrive at the dealership but I’m trying to find an aftermarket (good quality) gloss black front lip (without the extra pieces on the right and left) just like the picture attached.. the OEM one is about $650-$700.
Also I’d like it to be 1 piece as I saw couple of them that come in 3 pieces and you have to bolt them together.

Thank you

Not sure on that front lip but I can tell you I got the 3 piece $100 on ebay and loved it, no one can tell the difference and when I scratch the plastic with a bump or while parking, I can just replace one of the pieces,
sits in front of the actual bumper so you will not hit it

Did you have to drill into your bumper? I bought one and it did NOT line up with oem bolts.. Unsure if id actually use it now.

curious as well. I honestly may just need to go oem on all these cosmetic pieces.

3 piece is excellent no bolt, just have to assemble the 3 pieces together and then do the regular, add 3M tape and drill the screws that comes with it. Even with OEM you of to drill holes, you can't hide from drilling holes, I think the same as you.

Just purchased my second ebay gloss black front lip (first one had little life left in it after 18 months of scrapes etc....but hey that's why aftermarket is so fun - toss it and get another one). Fit and finish is near perfect and mold is just about identical to OEM - just like oem it is one piece with the exception of the side extensions which can be omitted if it's not to your liking (I didn't mount mine)

Just like oem - mounting is with some oem locations and some screws (you can see the oem install guide on the bmw accesory website)

Anyhoo here's the one I purchased - hope this helps

ps- yes it's flexible poly just like oem - not rigid plastic that can bend and break

ps- here is a link to a thread with pics I started a couple years ago detailing my experience installing my first ebay spoiler - also will show you the slight difference between aftermarket and oem if you scroll down a bit

What you want to watch out for (and avoid) are parts that are made from rigid plastic (sorry don't have the technical term) that when hit will snap and/or crack and break. Try to find parts that are made from Polyurethane (like oem) that are more flexible and will take abuse without breaking.

It's usually just a matter of asking the seller if the material type is not stated. Typically parts that are on the low end of the price scale are plastic and will not last very long in an application like a front lip.

The parts that I have referenced are Poly - let us know how yours works out and if plastic you may want to consider returning

Just my 2-cents in case it helps someone

Hey. I bought a same one from your link.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/15396386629...#38;media=COPY

Does your lip come with small box with 1 center and 2 side of lip(bottom picture)? or one long piece lip with some splitters like first picture?

I guess they sent me a different(cheaper) one.

This is exactly like mine - the red arrow pointing to the part that is a single piece end to end. Blue arrows are the two brackets that need to be installed onto the lip to mount it (this was done with provided nuts and bolts) and then two optional extensions (splitters) on either side are the green arrows . I hope this helps

Thank you very much.
I will return it and need to search a new one.
